Kartalkaya is a ski resort located in the Köroğlu Mountains, in Bolu Province, Turkey.
Kartalkaya has suitable conditions for alpine skiing, ski touring, and cross-country skiing. The duration of the skiing season is approximately 120 days a year, from December 20 to March 20.
The nearest city to the ski resort is Bolu, 54 km from Kartalkaya. Kartalkaya is a 4-hour drive from Ankara Esenboğa Airport and 6 hours by car from Istanbul Airport or Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. All three airports are international.
Kartalkaya is accessible by bus from Istanbul and Ankara .
The ski area is at an altitude of 1,850-2,200 m, and the region has a semi-temperate climate. Kartalkaya and its surroundings are covered in forests, and the dominant wind direction is west/northwest. The best season for skiing is from late December to late March, with an average snowfall of 3 meters.
There are two hotels with a total bed capacity of 1,005, and restaurants, swimming pools, discos, and bars. Ski equipment rental and instructors are available. There are two chairlifts, six T-bars, and three baby lifts, with 12 ski runs that are in total approximately 20 km long.
